PROCESSING FACILITY SCOPING STUDY

Rock Tech Lithium (RCK) Inc. is a Canadian-based mineral exploration and development company specializing in lithium and battery metals, focused on contributing to the growing demand for lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles. To advance the Georgia Lake spodumene project in Ontario, Canada, RCK has evaluated converter technology it should pursue in developing the next Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate (LHM) converter to process Georgia Lake mine concentrate.

RCK had requested trajectorE to conduct a high-level review and assessment of process options for the design, construction, and operation of a lithium hydroxide processing facility in the broader Thunder Bay area. The methodology conducted consisted of a review of the world-wide lithium processes that would be suitable for the Georgia Lake mine concentrate. Source information included details in the Guben FEL3 report, testing reports and various analyses conducted by RCK for the Nitrate process, publicly available information for other process options and limited details provided directly from Metso Outotec. Consumable and disposal pricing was collected from direct supply budget pricing.

The assessment included a side-by-side comparison of each process that identifies each option's differences, risks, and benefits. Where pricing, time, or detailed knowledge of the process equipment requirements was not available, the cost estimate was conducted on a basis of the high-level factoring using the Guben Converter FEL3 report. The assessment was considered accurate in terms of relativity as compared to actual costs and satisfied the needs of the client.
