Job Title: Operations Commissioning Lead

We are seeking an experienced operations crew leader to join our growing team. In this role you will coordinate and oversee start-up and operational activities for new and/or newly commissioned mineral processing facilities.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of operators and commissioning support personnel to commissioning, start-up and ramp-up operating mineral processing equipment.

• Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect and correct equipment malfunctions; and ensure plant systems are operating normally.

• Review process data and reporting of any deviations to plant management to minimize plant delays and breakdowns.

• Troubleshoot process issues and work with engineering and maintenance to find effective solutions.

• Review standard operating procedures and update as needed.

• Ensure that new operators are well-trained and have the skills and knowledge they need to do their jobs safely and effectively.

• Direct and coach operators in carrying out duties.

• Motivate individuals and solve problems to achieve results.

• Promote a culture of safety and environmental protection in the workplace.

• Comply with legislation and regulations concerning safety, employment and protection of the environment.

Position Requirements:

• 5 - 10 years of experience in operational/process management

• Experience with mineral processing processes and systems

• Excellent leadership skills

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to motivate and lead a team
