Job Title: Operations Commissioning Lead

We are seeking an experienced operations crew leader to join our growing team. In this role you will coordinate and oversee start-up and operational activities for new and/or newly commissioned mineral processing facilities.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead a team of operators and commissioning support personnel to commissioning, start-up and ramp-up operating mineral processing equipment.
Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect and correct equipment malfunctions; and ensure plant systems are operating normally.
Review process data and reporting of any deviations to plant management to minimize plant delays and breakdowns.
Troubleshoot process issues and work with engineering and maintenance to find effective solutions.
Review standard operating procedures and update as needed.
Ensure that new operators are well-trained and have the skills and knowledge they need to do their jobs safely and effectively.
Direct and coach operators in carrying out duties.
Motivate individuals and solve problems to achieve results.
Promote a culture of safety and environmental protection in the workplace.
Comply with legislation and regulations concerning safety, employment and protection of the environment.
Position Requirements:
5 - 10 years of experience in operational/process management
Experience with mineral processing processes and systems
Excellent leadership skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to motivate and lead a team
