“Providing tailored process design expertise through a boutique consulting model will really allow me to do what I love across a range of projects.”

[St. John’s, NL] — trajectorE Engineering, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Roach as its new Director of Process Engineering. Located in Trail, British Columbia, Steve brings over 20 years of experience in process engineering throughout the project development lifecycle, and will play a pivotal role in the company’s growth in Western Canada

Most recently Chief Metallurgist at Teck Resources’ Trail, BC operations, and previously holding senior technical positions Vale’s Base Metals division, Steve has played a key role in developing and optimizing mineral refining operations. This diverse background uniquely positions him to advance trajectorE's mission of providing innovative solutions in critical mineral processing to clients across North America, particularly in feasibility and process optimization studies.

"trajectorE's vision and approach were a key reason for my decision," said Roach, a Chemical Engineering Masters Grad from the University of Alberta. “Providing tailored process design expertise through a boutique consulting model will really allow me to do what I love across a range of projects. It’s incredibly rewarding to use both my technical knowledge and industry experience to support clients in bringing new operations to life."

“We are thrilled to have Steve on our team,” said Andrew Sinclair, CEO of trajectorE. “Steve’s depth of expertise and location in Western Canada contribute to our strategic growth plan of partnering with North American critical minerals operators to achieve sustainable production.”

“Steve’s appointment as Director of Process Engineering marks an exciting chapter for trajectorE,” said Don Stevens, Chief Operating Officer of trajectorE. “Having worked directly with Steve during his time at Vale, I know firsthand the depth of his expertise.” Steve was instrumental in developing the hydrometallurgical process at Vale’s Long Harbour Nickel processing facility, which is recognized globally for its highly efficient, responsible design. “His leadership will be key to strengthening our team’s capabilities as we continue to expand our service offerings and help our clients achieve long-term operational readiness and sustainability.”
